How Do I Care For My Aligners?

All you have to do is remove your aligners before each meal, eat and then brush your teeth BEFORE putting the aligners back on. To clean the trays, simply brush them with water only. (Toothpaste is abrasive and will scratch up the aligners.)

What Happens After My Invisalign Treatment?

Usually, you will need to wear retainers to prevent your teeth from shifting again. Don’t worry – Dr. Younis will go over all of this with you BEFORE your treatment begins so that you have the most complete information.

How Long Does Aligner Treatment Take?

This will vary depending on the patient – meaning that the type of bite and/or other orthodontic issues that someone has will determine how long treatment will be.

What Happens if I Lose an Aligner?

It happens but it’s not a problem. Contact Younis Orthodontics immediately for instructions or so that a replacement set can be ordered.  Obviously, try to keep track of your aligners to keep your treatment on schedule.

How is Invisalign Different From Braces?

Traditional braces use wires and braces to correct your bite. The braces are attached to your teeth and are connected to one another via the wires. The tightness of the wire is what shifts your teeth into their desired position.

Invisalign, on the other hand, uses a set of clear plastic aligners that you swap out every week. Each set moves your teeth little by little until, eventually, your treatment is complete and you finally have that perfect smile you’ve always wanted.
